Every Virgilio piece begins with an idea, often inspired by an archetypal form, an ancient symbol, or a poetic intuition.
The first pencil stroke becomes a technical drawing, then a colored sketch.
From there, it moves on to wax or digital modeling, followed by casting, handcrafting, and stone setting.
The result is a piece of jewellery that carries the mark of the artist-craftsman—imperfect in its perfection, unique, alive.

For over thirty years, Elisabetta Achilli has been the quiet soul behind some of Virgilio’s most refined and poetic creations. With hands that speak the language of gold and a vision capable of transforming an idea into harmony, she has helped shape not just jewellery—but stories, memories, and enduring signs of beauty.
Her journey with Virgilio began in the heart of the workshop, where technique and passion meet every day. Today, her mastery is an integral part of our identity: from iconic collections to bespoke, one-of-a-kind pieces, her touch is recognizable, constant, essential.
Throughout our history, other extraordinary designers have left an indelible mark on our creative path. Franca Barberis Canonico, with the Primavera di Capri bracelet—winner of the Diamonds International Awards in 1964—celebrated Mediterranean light with a bold and poetic vision. Pia Guidetti Crippa, creator of the Fleur de Diamants—awarded the International Diamonds Award in 1978—managed to combine rigor and lightness in a perfect balance of elegance.

The precious metals used by Virgilio come from suppliers certified for responsible sourcing, ensuring high ethical and environmental standards.
The gold is either recycled or sourced from Fairmined-accredited mines.
Precious stones—diamonds, sapphires, rubies, emeralds—are individually selected for quality, cut, and origin. We work only with transparent partners, sharing an ethical vision of luxury where beauty and conscience go hand in hand.
